Phil Pluck has taken over the helm of the Freelancer and Contractor Services Association (FCSA), a trade body for umbrella companies.  He replaces Julia Kermode as chief executive officer, who had held the position for over six years.

Pluck has previously held the chief executive role at the Glass and Glazing Federation, a trade body for glass manufacturers and glazers, and was the managing director of the Royal Town Planning Institute for over three years.  He was also a director at ACAS, the government arbiter for industrial disputes.

“It is a real privilege to be working for members of the FCSA at a time that is both challenging but presents opportunities for members to further support the ever-changing landscape of UK employment,” commented Mr Pluck.  “I look forward to working with the members to build on the good work that has already been achieved within the FCSA but also to build the organisation in terms of reputation and influence to both help member firms to positively differentiate themselves in the sector and to continue to be seen to be demonstrating the highest compliance standards in their delivery of services to the temporary workforce sector.”
