The Association of Independent Professionals and the Self-Employed (IPSE) has announced that it has struck a new deal with financial planning firm Contractor Wealth to help provide financial services to IPSE members.

Contractor Wealth is part of the CMME Group and provides specialist financial planning services for freelancers and contractors. Services offered by the company include planning for pensions, taxation and investments.

The new partnership will enable IPSE members to book consultations with Contractor Wealth and receive personalised advice regarding their investments, pensions and taxation. The deal comes amid growing concerns about the number of contractors struggling to carry out long-term financial planning as a result of fluctuating income.

Commenting on the announcement, IPSE CEO Derek Cribb said: “We’re thrilled to announce today’s new partnership with Contractor Wealth. While financial planning can be difficult for anyone, it is especially challenging for self-employed workers due to the nature of their work.”

“For instance, fluctuating incomes and late payments can make the idea of saving for the future seem almost impossible. Contractor Wealth’s long-standing expertise in planning services could make a crucial difference to our members by making pensions and savings more accessible.”

Contractor Wealth’s Head of Financial Advice Duncan Craze added: “Working with such a great brand, who like ourselves focus on supporting independent professionals to achieve their financial goals is a part of the work we do and are passionate about. Ourselves and IPSE are committed to improving financial positions through education and advice, ready for retirement or other critical life events and helping this often-underserviced sector of the UK workforce.”
